In the Speech at the Ceremony Marking the Centenary of the Communist Party of China, President Xi Jinping put forward a major thesis—“Two Creations”. It is a new summary of the significance of socialism with Chinese characteristics from the perspective of the world history. The new and uniquely Chinese path to modernization is a logical fruit of the cultural-ethical tradition formed by the ideological emancipation of the CPC, and it has endowed modernization with new connotations, new structural functions and new cultural-ethical inspirations. Socialism with Chinese characteristics has created a new model for human advancement. This is a holistic historical narrative that needs to be grasped as a totality.
